80's Themed Party

Saturday night for the football game, we had an 80's themed party. We had mullets, pegged pants and much more. We had a good time and we must do it agian.

Scott and I had an above ground pool put in this week. We still have to get a deck built and some landscaping done, but this is what we have for now. If anyone knows of a deck builder, please forward me their info.

Newest project!

My newest project has been to install granite countertops in my main hallway bathroom. I am almost finished, all I have to do now is pick out a backsplash and place the sink back in and I have a new bathroom. Almost finished

New project!

This week when I was off, I changed a bathroom light fixture. I did it all by myself.

I also laid a new porcelain counter top in my master bath. I still need to put up a back splash, I am deciding on what colors to use. The counter top used to be white laminate from the 80's. What a huge difference.

Update

Well, sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been trying to keep myself busy. If I don't have anything planned for the week that i am off I would just sleep all week. This week I have laid ceramic tile in our wet bar area, painted my hallway and put up wainscoting. We are almost finished with our main bathroom, all we have to do is install the toilet.
Kadie got all of her hair cut off. And it is so much easier. Usually when I work, Scott doesn't brush her hair very well and she ends up with dreads. So, I had her hair cut off.
Oh yea, did I mention that Scott's Step sister is a greedy bitch? It has been really hard on us this past year dealing with Scott's mom's estate, keeping up with her house and paying the bills. His step sister is now trying to give us a hard time. But, things work out the way they should, right? That's the way I look at things. I try to forgive and forget things but this time I am having a hard time.

Christmas Present

Look what Santa left in the driveway for me. It was such a surprise. I thought that maybe I had been a bad girl this year, but I guess I was wrong. It is a new Ford Expedition. I had mentioned to Scott about 3 days ago that it would be nice to have a new Expedition with a built in DVD player so that the kids wouldnt fight when we were in the car. Well, he took me literally. Merry Christmas.

Early Christmas Present

Meet Bella. Scott brought her home Thursday as an early Christmas present for the kids. Whats another mouth to feed? You can see just how small she is, she is laying on one of my boots.

Here is Tanner (Santa) and Kadie (Mrs. Santa) delivering presents 2 weeks before Christmas. I think they were really bored and this is what they came up with. Santa has a new bag, original huh?

Work Christmas Party

What a great dad, brushing his daughters hair. I couldn't ask for anything more.

I got Tanner and Kadie the Elf on the shelf this year and it has really been fun. When I first heard of it several years ago, I thought it was stupid but I have changed my mind since I have read the story.

Here is the cake I ordered for Tanner, Dads and Scott's birthdays. Look closely, it says Nappy Birthday.
